On May 23, a meeting was held in Moscow between Fuad Naghiyev, Chairman of the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, and Maksim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
The discussions focused on the continuous expansion of tourism relations between the two countries, the opening of Azerbaijan’s tourism representation office in Moscow, and the increase in mutual tourist flows. The parties also exchanged views on the implementation of the "2024-2026 Roadmap for the Development of Tourism between Azerbaijan and Russia", which was signed on March 5, 2024, to strengthen bilateral tourism cooperation.
The meeting also covered collaboration between Azerbaijan’s winter and ski resorts, particularly Shahdag Mountain Resort, and relevant Russian tourism institutions, as well as experience exchange in tourism education and the creation of dual-degree programs.
The discussions were attended by Polad Bulbuloglu, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Russia.
